My Sweet Nephews Logan and Colin

These two awesome boys are my sweet nephews. Logan, with dark hair, and Colin came to spend a long weekend with their cousins (my two boys) a few weeks ago. All 4 boys are close in age and get along great. They built a 'fort' in our neighbors woods (thanks Tess) and ran around like crazy kids do all weekend. I finally slowed them down long enough early one morning to bring them to my 'current' favorite shooting location. With a little bribery and some candy in my pocket, I was able to give their mom some nice photos of her two sweethearts. I hope you like your pictures, Lea! I love you!!!

Senior Portraits are a BLAST!

Stephanie came into our studio a few weeks ago wanting something other than the boring senior photos the school photographer had to offer. Stephanie is a natural. She'll tell you that she hates to have her photo taken, but it's a ploy! Stephanie, you're beautiful and here are the photos to prove it! I'm so glad you came in! I had a great time and I hope you enjoyed your photo session!

Seniors - If you're looking for something different, with your senior portraits, our studio is the place to come! Remember, you don't have to settle when it matters most.

Noah

My boy made the cover!!! Let me tell you how this photo got to be.

Noah is a Cub Scout with Pack 510 here in Clarksville. In June he and I went to camp in Nashville for 4 days so he could work on some of his Webelos pins and we could spend some quality time together. It was great fun for me! You see, my bachelors degree is in Outdoor Recreation/Education. Yup, I graduated from Montreat College in 1992. Great school I will say... Anyway, I got to enjoy camp with Noah and of course I'm going to bring my camera. I wish I was better at writing because I would journal all the wonderful things my boys do. Since I can't write worth a darn I photograph. If what they say about a picture being worth 1,000 words is true, than my boys have books and books of journals in picture form.

Anyway, back to the cover image. In the evenings the boys wanted to fish. The dads would take the boys to the lake about 100 yards away and I would take my camera. The sunset was beautiful and offered great light for evening photographs. Later the next day we were at the Archery range and a small group of people showed up and 2 had some nice cameras. Of course I struck up a conversation with one of the ladies whom I knew to be a part of the council there at camp. They were trying to take pictures of the boys so they could use one for the cover of the next 'JetTrails' magazine. I showed her my camera and mentioned that I had taken some images of the boys the night before. They were desperate for a photo since the deadline was in just a few days. I showed her this image of Noah and she fell in love with it. Asked if I would let them use it for the cover and a month later it came in the mail. How fun is that!

Hailey 7 Months Old!

Here is Hailey! This little love bug is just a doll! Look at those chunky cheeks! Hailey is doing our Baby Bundles Collection. She is so easy to photograph and her parents are a lot of fun to hang out with. Above are just a few pages from her custom book we put together for her from this last session. We have a number of speciality books that we do. Every book is unique because all the images are specific to your family. We LOVE these books!

Chris, Nikki and Hailey, I can't wait to see you guys in the next few weeks! Have a great summer!

Austin

So one day I'm out to lunch at this cool Clarksville lunch restaurant called Lovin' Spoonful on University Ave. and I see a card for a interior designer. I take the card because I'm interested in doing some remodeling to the studio. I decided to give Laura Scott of LAS Designs a call and to make a long story short, she comes in and remodels the studio (photos to come in the near future). After the studio is remodeled and she is working on some rooms in the house, she asks if I can do photos of her son Austin. Well, heck yeah I can do a portrait for her!!! I was honored that she wanted to use my photographs as art on her wall. Actually, the image went on Austin's bedroom wall, but how cool is that! These 3 images are only a few of the many that I took. Austin is SOOO easy to photograph! The day after the shoot, his dad made him get his hair cut! Said he was getting 'girly curls' growning and he didn't like that too much!

Rowan

I've had the privilege of photographing Rowan since he was first born! He's already a year old! It's amazing how much personality can develop in 12 months. We had a lot of fun with him yesterday. It was a perfect day for photography and, of course, a perfect subject. Happy Birthday Rowan!
